ACTIVATED ALUMINUM

White filter material made up of activated alumina, spherical in shape, odorless and tasteless, insoluble in water and organic solvents, soluble in strong acids and strong bases.

This product is mainly used as:

  1. drying agent (after absorbing humidity from the air it does not expand and does not become brittle)
  2. absorbent agent for gases such as NOx
  3. catalyst in the petrochemical industry (sulphur recovery)
  4. removal of fluorides and phosphates from drinking water, in compliance with the UNI EN 13753:200 standard "Products used for the treatment of water intended for human consumption - Granular active alumina".
Ball diameter: 1-2.5mm / 3-5mm

MAK-8 (IMPREGNATED AND ACTIVATED SPHERICAL ALUMINA)

Purple filter material made of spherical activated alumina impregnated with potassium permanganate. This product is mainly used for the purification of air and gases from hydrogen sulfide, sulfur oxides, olefins, formaldehyde and mercaptans. Ball diameter (ASTM 3862): 4 x 8 U.S. Mesh (2.4 - 4.8 mm).

It can be used alone or in blend with activated carbon.

Ball diameter (ASTM 3862): 4 x 8 U.S. Mesh (2.4 - 4.8 mm)

MANGANESE DIOXIDE (PYROLUSITE)

Pure manganese dioxide mineral used in sand filters for the removal of iron and manganese in water purification.

Grain sizes: 0.35 - 0.85

ANTHRACITE

Natural anthracite treated by washing, drying and ground into different grain sizes. It is a filter material coming from highly selected raw materials, excellent for both pressure and gravity filters. The high purity, fixed carbon content of 90%, makes it suitable for the filtration of drinking, process and waste water. It is used for the removal of suspended solids, algae and sources of turbidity in the treatment of drinking and process waters of different hardness, swimming pool waters and acid-alkaline liquids.

GROUND QUARTZ

Ground quartz is produced from polyhedral crystalline quartz of alluvial origin. It is heat resistant up to 1730 °C without pre-combustion and is resistant to pressures of 2000 kg/cm2. The high homogeneity of the product is guaranteed by regular control of the processing, washing, drying and sieving cycles. Its specific characteristics make it suitable for use as a filter medium par excellence in the treatment of drinking water, waste water, process liquids, swimming pools and aquariums.

GRAY SPHERICAL QUARTZ

The gray spherical quartz is produced from round mono-crystalline quartz of alluvial origin, with a SiO2 content equal to 99%, a hardness according to which the Mohr scale is equal to 7.

FERRIC OXIDE-HYDROXIDE LD (20% humidity)

Filter material that comes in the form of granules. It is produced using patented processes and used to remove arsenic from water. Product compliant with the European standard EN15029:2006 “Products used for the treatment of water intended for human consumption – Ferric oxide-hydroxide”.

Grain size: 0.8/2 mm

CLINOPTINOLITE

Natural zeolite produced by granulation, sieving and dedusting selected batches. It has one of the highest ion exchange capacities among natural filter materials, in particular with regards to the ammonium ion, therefore it is particularly suitable for the removal of ammonia from water.
